Welcome to my first blog posting for RaRE Findings. Hopefully the first of many more to come. I hope to share the history & use of some of the objects I’ve incorporated into my RaRE collections along with the influences & properties of some of the gemstones I use.
I’m also excited to introduce you to some of my favorite designers and artists that we will be featuring in our “Visiting Artists” section on our web site. But more of that later!
After several months of relocating back to my roots in NWA, we are finally getting settled and looking forward to the next chapter. Nestled between the Oachitas, Ozark and Boston Mountain ranges there’s a reason they call Arkansas the Natural State. If you love the outdoors as we do there’s never a lack of inspiration. Leaving the Chicago area and selling my gallery and artisan store was a tough move. There I curated and sold artisan goods, global finds, and my successful RaRE Findings jewelry collection. We also had a standalone art gallery where we featured national and international artists.

Over the years I developed many relationships with designers, artists, and dealers in the Chicago area, and worldwide. Always on the lookout for the most interesting finds. Some of these objects were exactly the items I love to incorporate in my RaRE jewelry collections. I’ve used excavated Viking artifacts, ancient Egyptian scarabs and antique medals. I especially have a passion for old African trade beads and love to pair them with organic ammonite fossil beads, turquoise, gemstones, or petrified woolly mammoth bone beads. Sometimes throwing a diamond in the mix!

Leaving Chicago and the many friends and acquaintances we developed throughout the years was a little premature, and not what we had planned. We loved the store, the many loyal customers, and fellow business owners. But starting a new life, a new venture surrounded by all this natural beauty is truly a blessing.
We are so excited to carry on the tradition because, all of our curated favorites and artisan works are now available online!
Creating and designing are such important aspects in my life, that I will continue to offer those one of a kind jewelry pieces for the RaRE jewelry collection. I’m also excited to carry some of the inspirational and talented artists in the “Visiting Artists” section on our web site.
Under the “Sacred Objects” and “Global Finds” section of the site, we will be offering curated world wide finds for the RaRE Home Collection. What better way to express your individuality by surrounding you living space with decorative objects that have meaning, history, and craftsmanship. Each piece exceptional and one of a kind.

I will continue to do shows and pop ups. So watch for them in our “Events” section on our site. Or better yet, sign up for our newsletter where you get all the latest news and special offers. Don’t worry, we won’t pester you to death! When you get a newsletter from us, you know there’s something great inside.
Follow our journey on Facebook and Instagram both are easily accessible from here and from our homepage.
Sending much love and blessings!
